It’s that time of year when Austin’s cutest cleanup crew returns! Whether you are out for an early morning run or evening walk, keep an eye out for the Trail Conservancy’s very own herd of goats hard at work while they munch on their favorite snack: overgrown plants & poison ivy!

WHY GOATS?

The trail conservancy uses goats to reach those hard-to-get-to get to places along Austin’s downtown trails and in Zilker Park! These field trips happen periodically, with one coming up in September (exact dates TBD)!

ADOPT A GOAT

And did you know you can actually adopt one of these hard-working goats? Claim a very cute member of the clean-up crew and support trail maintenance starting at $25 a month. You can even visit your goat on the Trail for a selfie or a little heart-to-heart (just no snuggling as they’re usually covered in poison ivy!).
