PROUD MARY COFFEE
And when we say Australian flare we really mean it as the first location of Proud Mary was open in Melbourne 10 years ago! They wanted to expand to the US and opened their first store in Portland, Oregon back in 2017 and have had a slow roll to Austin due to the pandemic! Nolan + Shari Hirte are proud to have Austin as their new home and claim that “Austin feels like the center of the universe right now + are excited to be a part of it all!”
THE FOOD
The food highlights Australia’s cafe culture with notable breakfast dishes that are just beyond your expectations! Things like an outrageous avocado toast, fluffy hotcakes (which are to die for!), potato hash with all the fixins, decadent omelets, and of course, Vegemite spreads! Plus, cookies and cakes for a morning or early afternoon treat.
THE DRINKS
While the food is really the star of the show, the beverage game is top-notch! The coffee is sourced from coffee farms in the Americas and Australia, with options for drip, flat whites, espressos + beyond! And they offer delicious morning cocktails like a Bloody Mary + Mimosa! The menu includes teas, juices, and yummy smoothies, as well!
THE VIBES
The space is so clean, so cozy and so Feng Shui! Everything is very subtle, modern, and crisp! Find space at the bar, tables all around, and the perfect outdoor dining nook with umbrellas! The open space concept and the lighting were a huge draw to this space on South Lamar and we can see why! Come work, dine, and sip! This daytime-friendly breakfast and lunch spot is open until 4 PM, while the kitchen closes at 3! We can’t wait to go back!
