CENTRAL MACHINE WORKS
Central Machine Works opened in 2019 in a historic 1940’s WWII airplane conduction warehouse now home to a German-style beer garden. The menu is German inspired with brats, potato salad and pretzels. The patio is one of the biggest in Austin and you’ll often find a slate of entertainment taking place at this beer hall.
ATMOSPHERE
The inside and the patio are in tough competition because both do so well at setting the vibe. The indoor is laced with big leather couches, picnic tables, eclectic art, and an industrial bar area that gives nod to this historic origins. The patio faces the hangar shaped dome with dozens of tables, perfect for intimate convos or big group gatherings. It’s super dreamy at night with string lights and a huge lit tree at the center.
THE BEER
They offer 7 beers on tap that are all made on-site at the brewery. Ranging from pilsners, pale ales and IPA’s, you can’t go wrong with any of these. Not into beers? They have cocktails, canned beverages, and wine! Plus, the frozen espresso martini & tequila sunrise are so refreshing in this Texas heat!
ENTERTAINMENT
Movie nights, live music, markets…Central Machine Works hosts it all! Check out their online calendar for upcoming programming but always except live music on Friday and Sunday nights!
Not only is Central Machine Works a super cool spot period, we love it when we need a place for a lot of people, without a reservation. We can always count on it having an open table to pop in without notice!
