A brand new adorable bookstore just popped up last month in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin, and you are going to fall in love with it!

FIRST LIGHT BOOKS
First Light Books was created by bookstore loving couple Taylor and Robin Bruce, and their business partner Breezy Mayo. The couple had been wanting to open a bookstore for quite some time as they seek out bookstores wherever they travel to. They joined forces with Mayo who has a fabulous hospitality background.
THE SPACE
The space is cozy, bright, and airy! There are reading nooks, seating indoors + outdoors, open and covered patios, stained glass touches, a cafe / counter service window and books books books and more books!
THE BOOKS
The book selection is magnanimous and spans everything from fiction to fantasy and beyond. The store is broken into easy to find categories and of course has a children’s area as well. They also have a large cookbook section which is super exciting!
THE MENU
And of course while you check out the books + stay for a read, you need a snack and something to sip on! Come for morning pastries from Texas French Bread and coffee from Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors. As they move into midday and evening, they offer snacks like yogurt bowls, sandwiches, meat + cheese boards, and more. You can also find spritz, beers, and ciders. There is something for everyone no matter what time of day you stop in!

Be on the lookout as they start to ramp things up - they plan to host events with readings, pop ups and lots more!
MEMBERSHIP
If you live close, you should opt in for their $99 yearly membership program, where you can get free drip coffee every day, discounts on books, free delivery within a five mile radius, and early access to upcoming events.
HOURS
Coffee window opens at 7am daily and the store is open 9am to 9pm every single day!
