LBJ Library's Hip-Hop America: The Mixtape Exhibit

Curated by the Grammy Museum (yes, those GRAMMYs), this interactive exhibit takes you on a journey through hip-hop’s rise from street culture to the global phenomenon it is today! Explore legendary artifacts while listening to some of the genre's best hits as you browse or on interactive screens that let you hear sampling, layering, and regional hip-hop styles!

THE LBJ PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

Located on the University of Texas campus, the LBJ Library and Museum celebrates the legacy of President Lyndon B. Johnson, highlighting his commitment to social change, civic engagement, and equality. With cool exhibits like a 7/8ths oval office replica, phone booths with real recordings from the president, the legacy of Lady Bird Johnson & more!

 

GET YOUR TICKETS

The Library is open daily from 9am to 5pm, with the last visitor admitted at 4pm. Enjoy FREE parking in lot 38 during business hours! Tickets start at $16 for adults, with tons of discounts for students, teachers, and military; plus, children under 12 are free! And all tickets are half off on Tuesdays, making it the perfect day to visit!
