EBERLY
Eberly has been open since the fall of 2016 and got its name from Angelina Eberly who stood up to President Sam Houston and his Texas Rangers by firing a cannon to defend against a revolution and preserve Austin as the capital of Texas! Owners John Scott and Eddy Patterson (former owners of Stubb’s BBQ) love Austin and the history that has made it what it is today!
AMBIENCE
When creating the concept for Eberly, co-owners called upon designer Mickie Spencer (of Eastside Showroom; now Ah Sing Den) and construction chief Michael Dickson (of Winflo Osteria). They perfectly curated this stunning space to include numerous areas including a bar, study room, dining area, and patio. Glass ceilings, walls of books, an outdoor water fountain, hidden-speakeasy styled room for private events, and lots of greenery come together to dazzle all of Austin with its midcentury design aesthetics!
BAR SCENE
And their pride + joy, the original 1866 bar from Cedar Tavern that traveled all the way from New York City! Not only is the bar stunning, but was a post for many famous writers, artists, + musicians from the 60s and beyond! With a pretty bar, comes really pretty drinks too. We treated ourselves to the Nitro Espresso Martini (it explains itself) and the Sixteen Jackies (a rose water pisco sour). Find tons of creative cocktails, wine, and beer, as well!
FOOD
The American menu includes staples like burgers, half chickens, salads, and brunch favorites like French toast and classic breakfast plates. We indulged with the Monkey Bread, Short Rib Hash, and Eggs Benedict, all pairing so nicely with our brunch cocktails. Eberly prides itself on serving fresh produce, house-made charcuterie, and homemade pastries prepared daily.
