The Flower Shop
Hailing all the way from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Flower Shop brings its signature blend of nostalgia and nightlife to East Austin. The NYC location opened in 2017 by two Australians and was meant to feel like a casual, cool neighborhood hangout. The hidden gem pub quickly gained popularity and has become a go-to nightlife spot in NYC. They’re bringing the same inviting vibes to Austin with this second location and we already know it’s going to become a go-to spot for dinner, drinks and vibes!
THE SPACE
The cozy and retro space feels like you’re stepping into someone’s living room from the 70s with wood paneled walls, retro booths and a cocktail lounge complete with floral patterned seating and vibrant blue carpet floors! They also have a patio and rooftop with another bar upstairs and the coolest cheetah print pool table! The space is really well done and feels like the perfect blend of inviting and cool!
& fun fact, the 100 year old building has some history and used to be one of the first tortilla factories in Texas back in the day!
MENU
The menu features a diverse selection of upscale and casual dishes that have American, Asian, and Australian influences! The food is complemented by a curated wine list and craft cocktails! We enjoyed the:
- The Paper Plane
- Spinach Artichoke Dip
- Mushroom Escabache on Toast
- TS Cheeseburger
- Maitake Mushroom Rigatoni
- Tommy’s Prickly Pear Margarita
