BAG CHECK / SECURITY
We know departures from AUS can be a headache for security and we normally arrive up to 2 hours early for a normal flight! But with the impending holidays, it’s recommended that you plan for a bit more time - and make sure to account for that potential Austin traffic when estimating your drive time to the airport!
Ready to get through security? Head to one of the side entrances and get in line for TSA. If you’ve got PreCheck, get dropped off at the very beginning or end of the airport for the quickest access. Don’t have PreCheck? CLEAR can be a lifesaver, especially if you’re at the end of the airport.
A TIP IF YOU’RE FLYING ALLEGIANT OR FRONTIER
If you’re flying on Allegiant or Frontier Airlines, you’ll need to go to Terminal 2 specifically! This terminal is not accessible from the Barbara Jordan Terminal, so be sure you are in the right place when you arrive.

PARKING
To drive or not to drive? If you drive to the airport, you can park at Fast Park or Parking Spot which provides shuttle service and covered parking! Economy parking is $12 per day with a shuttle as well.
UBER OR BUS
Not feeling the parking? Uber or the #20 bus that runs every 15 minutes from downtown Austin and AUS for just $1.25. For rideshare services, the pickup area is a long walk from the terminal, but you can avoid the dreaded walk by not going down the escalator, walking across the drop-off area & past the rock sculpture!
