SALSA LIMON
With several locations in the DFW area, Salsa Limon has landed at its new location in North Campus on Guadalupe! In 2006, brother-and-sister duo Milo and Rosalia Ramirez opened their very first taco truck and are blown away by the expansion within the last 16 years. Originally inspired by the taco stands they enjoyed from their childhood in Oaxaca, Mexico! Leaving their home base of Fort Worth to expand was a big leap, but they are feeling the love from all their Austin, local visitors!
THE SPACE
Finding a spot that is walkable from campus, has many residences, and also has a parking lot is the biggest win! Enter into the white building with the most adorable Mexican flares - pops of yellow and orange wooden tables, rainbow-colored and themed pinatas, Mexican artwork, plus a fantastic outdoor patio with lots of space! Order at the counter or the self-ordering kiosks and grab a spot with your gang! And the branding is just simply the cutest - the little salsa bowl 🥺
THE FOOD
The spot just opened a few days ago and we have already been two times, it’s really THAT good! The menu includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and bowls with your choice of barbacoa, tripa, chorizo, asada, and vegetarian options. Did we mention they serve their breakfast menu all day?! And the chilaquiles are just so fresh and pair perfectly with a cold Jarritos, Topo, or cocktail if you are feeling wild! We ordered the El Capitan with steak, Barbaro with beef consommé dipping sauce, Chilaquiles, and a side of rice and beans! Great chips and dips too!
BAR
There’s also a full-service bar so you can enjoy cocktails, cerveza, and even a selection of wine! Go with a classic or spicy margarita, or fancy it up with a paloma or sangria! They are open until 10 PM, but have hopes of staying open later and get the bar scene bumping! It’s absolutely worth the hype so stop in ASAP!
