Sweet Memes, a Japanese Dessert shop, made its Austin debut over the summer - located on South Congress in the St. Edwards neighborhood! It was originally started in Houston back in 2018 and agreed Austin was the next best place to be! The Japanese-inspired dessert and beverages have become so wildly popular and we are so excited to share our favorites with you!

I’m sure you could have guessed they are mostly known for their soufflé pancakes - thick, tall, and fluffy rounds full of decadent flavors. Go with the classic with whipping cream and honey or bold with a flavored one like Matcha, Strawberry, or Creme Brûlée! Or maybe you are interested in the insane amount of other choices.- mille crepe cake slices, Japanese shaved ice, waffles, croissants-waffles, and their honey toasts, tiramisu, and so much more.
And you have to wash this down with something…good thing their drink menu is even bigger! Find classic coffee, frappuccinos of all flavors, even Oreo, brewed tea, fruit tea with fresh peaches, cucumbers, + more, an insane selection of Boba and Milk teas, and even fresh juices and smoothies! THE SPACE
The food isn't the only thing Instagrammable! This little space is decked out in florals and pinks. The garden-esque decorations are absolutely adorable, featuring life-size mushrooms and blooming flowers. Even find a full wall of roses and pink feathers. There is plenty of indoor seating so bring your next date or girl gang to enjoy some Japanese goodies!
